Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14th 20th, 1980) is an American performer, singer, and dancer. She was a dancer and singer in the early days of Broadway role titles included Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. in You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in a Play. Annaleigh Ashford Tony Award winner actor is a frequent collaborator with famous director and actors across TV and stage productions. Ashford continues to build on her award-winning career with her upcoming projects. Ashford's next venture will be a limited edition Hulu show called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show debuts on November 22nd and Ashford is starring alongside Kumail Najiani. Ashford is currently in production for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. As a Hulu Original, the film will be available on Disney DTC's platforms. Ashford returns to Broadway in 2023 in which he'll be starring alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production takes place taking place at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The same team that created Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at helm of the show. Ashford was most recently seen as Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment inspired by the nation's crisis, which swept into Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters in the nation's very first impeachment proceeding in nearly a century. She starred in two seasons of the popular CBS comedy B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. Also, it featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. The other Broadway appearances includes Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and the lead role in Lauren for Kinky Boots a performance for which she was awarded a second Tony Award nomination. Ashford was born and raised in Denver and currently splits her days between Los Angeles, and New York.
