Kellie Martin is an American film, television and stage performer. Her most famous role is Christy Huddleston (Christy) on the drama of the same name Christy", Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) as well as Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Also, she is known for playing the title role in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher Martin began her acting career when she was just seven, when her aunt who worked as the nanny of Michael Landon's children, was able to help her get a guest spot in the 1982 show "Father Murphy". Martin began her professional acting career following her graduation from Yale University. This led to her landing substantial parts in both the television as well as the film industry. Martin is, in addition to being an actor, is also an accomplished photographer and ballet dancer. Martin's sister, who died due to Lupus at age 19, was the inspiration behind her becoming the Lupus national spokesperson.
